This project evolved from several valuable discussions with Jerry Kent of the East Bay Regional Parks District and Tony Acosta of the City of Oakland Parks Department, both from the Vegetation Management Consortium. This Project was funded by the Vegetation Management Consortium and a grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) who was subcontracted by Amphion.
Several groups contributed data, equipment and expertise to this project. These contributions were invaluable and the project is much stronger for them.
Trimble Navigation, Inc. loaned two pro-item PGS for the field work.
NASA flew a C130 mission and gathered an enormous amount of data that has been and will prove to be of great value to vegetation management in the study site.
Amphion supplied the majority of the graphic and slide images, and the Fire Hazard Mitigation Program and Fuel Management Plan for the East Bay Hills, for this CD-ROM project.
